 Aims and Objectives
  • To promote Romanian culture and language.
  • To establish an information exchange on Romanian artistic, cultural and educational events in the UK.
  • To provide an educational resource.
  • To provide the opportunity for informal social events.
  • To promote Romanian artists and writers in, and visiting, the UK

 Membership

Open to anyone related to, and interested in Romanian culture and language.

The Association reserves the right to disbar members who bring the Association into disrepute.

Because of our expanding membership of the Romanian Cultural Centre, it was proposed and agreed at our last committee meeting, that annual Membership fees should be £10.00 per annum for individuals and £15.00 for family Membership. Members will continue to benefit from reduced entry fees to most of our events as well as being welcome to our annual Christmas party at no charge. It is hoped that with this reduction more people will also move from merely being on our mailing list to full membership and participation in Cultural Centre activities. If you would like to become a member of the Romanian Cultural Centre, please mail your name, address, family details and a cheque made payable to:

 Members of the Romanian Cultural Centre are also offered free access to the

Romanian Reference Library

of the Ratiu Family Foundation.
The Library contains over 6,000 books on Romanian history, politics and culture in several languages. Romanian newspapers and magazines are also available.

The Library is open every Wednesday from 9.30 am to 7.00 pm (and other times by appointment) and it is situated on the:
