Romanian roads total 153,358 km of which 78,213 km are standard national or european roads and only 113 km of motorways. The principal access points into Romania are: from Berlin > Warsaw > Budapest >Petea E 81; Vienna>Prague> Budapest >Bors E 60 or Nadlac E 64 or Varsand E 671; Trieste > Belgrade >Moravita E 70 or Portile de Fier E 70; Athens > Sofia > Giurgiu E 85; Istanbul > Sofia > Vama Veche E 87; Moscow > Kiev,> Chernowitz (Cernauti) > Siret E 85 (see map below). All roads are marked in accordance with international regulations. Driving is on the right side of the road and overtaking on the left. The main road crossing points are: RO-HU border : Nãdlac, Turnu, Vãrsand, Bors, Valea lui Mihai, Petea; RO-UA border: Halmeu, Siret, RO-MD border: Stânca-Costesti, Sculeni, Albita, oancea, Galati; RO-BG border: Vama Veche, Negru Vodã, ostrov, Giurgiu, Bechet, Calafat; RO-YU border: Portile de Fier, Naidãs, Stamora Moravita, Jimbolia.
